“Noah, we got some good news. Mom says there will be a dog coming today”.

Sure enough, when he got home, he saw his mom outside.

She was on the ground talking to a big lab dog.

The dog was beautiful and came right away when she called his name – ‘Dusty’.

Noel went outside and called him too. He came to be patted.

This was going to be great, he thought. My own dog to be with me always.

From here on, things would not be so hard. He had a new furry friend.

Mom showed her boys the pictures they gave her of Dusty being trained.
